Sézane L'Appartment New York

In 2017 the French fashion brand Sézane invited Talbot & Yoon to design and execute their New York flagship store at 254 Elizabeth Street in Nolita.

The design was conceived as rooms of a Parisian apartment inserted into a typical Nolita storefront and sequenced from less to more intimate, with clothes running parallel to a café, lifestyle goods, shoes, jewelry and a curated library.

Just inside the entrance you are welcomed with coffee and pastries, sit and enjoy them at the banquette and cafe tables or take them with you as you browse the lifestyle products on display. Afterward, cross the welcome mosaic in the floor and take a seat to try on some shoes or walk further back to look at the jewelry. Deeper into the store you encounter a threshold and enter the library where you can take a minute's rest or take photos while you wait for your friends to finish trying on their new outfits in the fitting rooms.
